For almost 75 years the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis has operated the Flat Rock River YMCA Camp in St. Paul, Indiana, only 45 minutes SE of downtown Indy. It's an incredible 260 acres that sits on the banks of the Flat Rock River. The magic however is what happens within that 260 acres. An incredible outdoor getaway where kids connect and build community. The Flat Rock team strive to create an environment where all kids are INCLUDED and ENAGAGED becoming CONFIDENT and INSPIRED.
So why am I sharing this? I want you to know why I've decided to take the POLAR PLUNGE on Feb 19th. Getting the campers around this great property and connecting them to the outdoors is important to me and I KNOW their "well loved" mountain bikes could use a significant upgrade. I'll be jumping through the ice into the lake at Flat Rock truly hoping that you all will help sponsor my efforts. If YOU will help me meet my $750 goal to purchase one bike, I've pledged to donating a $750 match to purchase a second bike. My scream of shock as I hit the icy waters in February will no doubt be echoed by screams of joy as campers ride the forest trails with their camp friends this summer.
