Why Participate


Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Seven Rivers Region is a 100% donor, volunteer, and grant-funded organization and we rely heavily on our fundraising events to fund our mission. 

All money raised through Bowl for Kids' Sake 2022 goes directly back into our program and allows us to support, maintain and grow Matches between at-risk youth and their caring, adult volunteer mentor.

Our 2020 Match of the Year, Little Brother Quinten and Big Brother Troy, are a shining example of our program at work. Since being Matched in 2017, Troy and Quinten have been active in the community. "Quinten is much more open to trying new things," Troy said. "Last week we began learning keyboard and although he was frustrated at first, I was proud of him for not quitting and finishing the lesson. It has been great seeing the confidence in himself rise"

Bowl for Kids' Sake


What is Bowl for Kids' Sake? 
Bowl for Kids' Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters signature fundraiser. Every year, people around the country come together and help raise money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. Bowl for Kids' Sake is a fun way for individuals and companies to make an impact on the local community.


This year's theme is "Infinity and Beyond" - get yourself and your ready for out of this world bowling and fun! 


How it Works? 

Participants register themselves and/or a team of 5 to raise funds for our program by collecting donations from their peers, friends, family members, etc. After 8 weeks of fundraising, we celebrate by having a bowling party! 


Where and When?
There are two locations available to register yourself/team. 
  • ​Winona: Westgate Bowl on July 15th 
  • La Crosse: All Star Lanes on July 16th

How to Register? 
  • Getting Registered: Go to "Get Involved" and select which location you would like to register for. You will sign up for an account using your name and email address. Select Bowl for Kids' Sake Participant and what size t-shirt you would like and then click "SUBMIT" - you have now registered for Bowl for Kids' Sake, Hooray! 
  • Manage Your Page: Once you have registered, hover above your name in the top right corner of the navigation bar to click "Manage my page." Here you will either participate as an individual or as part of a team. 
    • Join an existing team: If you are joining a team, use the search bar to find the name of your team to join them.
    • Form a new a team: If you are creating a new team, type your team name and click "save."
      • You will now be able to customize your team page - set fundraising goals, invite team members to join you, make donations, add photos/videos, etc. 
  • View Your Page: To see your fundraising page, hover above your name in the top right corner of the navigation bar to click "View my page." Here you are able to view your fundraising progress, invite people to join you, ask for donations, and so much more.
