In addition to providing food to over 950 non-profit partner agencies, SHMETROLINA directly serves our hungry neighbors. 13.8% of our service area population, over 489,000 people, live in poverty including over 159,000 children and over 52,000 seniors.
We are again supporting Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina for the 4th year and need your help! The easiest way is to make a monetary donation on our page.
FLASHBACK: Over the last 3 years through donations supplied by employees, vendors, homeowners and the public, Mattamy Charlotte has collected a total equivalent of 82,562 pounds of food ($11,267 in donations and $3,693 pounds of food).
GOAL: For each team to collect an equivalent of 5,000 pounds of food (55,000 total pounds for Mattamy Charlotte)!
With an online donation through our team page, you can pay by debit/credit card and receive a receipt directly upon completion of donation. You can also drop cash or check off at any of our locations, all checks can be made payable to SHFB Metrolina.
Funds are the greatest need and a wonderful way to multiply your giving! Second Harvest is able to provide 7 pounds of food into the community for every $1 donated! Funds enable us to purchase products by the pallet - securing much-needed items at great pricing – and help keep our refrigerated trucks on the road picking up and distributing fresh produce, dairy and meats to our partner agencies.
