Growing up, I was incredibly fortunate to play sports my entire life—from ice hockey and lacrosse to field hockey and soccer. Being an athlete has shaped me in countless ways, teaching me resilience, teamwork, discipline, and the power of community. The friendships, challenges, and lessons I’ve gained on and off the field have left a lasting impact—far beyond the game itself.

As a former Division I lacrosse player, I experienced firsthand the profound sense of camaraderie that comes with being part of a team. One of the most meaningful aspects of my college career was welcoming a Team IMPACT player into our program. That experience reinforced what I have always believed—sports are about so much more than competition. They create a sense of belonging, build confidence, and provide a support system that extends far beyond the playing field.

Unfortunately, not every child has the opportunity to experience the power of sports. Team IMPACT helps change that by pairing children facing serious illnesses and disabilities with college athletic teams, giving them the chance to be part of something truly special. Through this program, these kids gain lifelong friendships, encouragement, and a team that stands by them every step of the way.

I believe every child deserves to feel the support, joy, and connection that comes with being part of a team. Team IMPACT makes that possible, and I would be incredibly grateful for your support in helping more children experience the life-changing impact of sports.
