2025 A Gutsy Gathering for Crohn's & Colitis by the New England Young Professionals' Community

I'm honored to be the 2025 Rising Healthcare Leader in IBD by the New England Chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. I'm fundraising with the Young Professionals' Community to support the Foundation as they work to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and to improve the quality of life for children and adults affected by these chronic diseases. Together, we can go further, faster.
Providing care to children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has been the cornerstone of my clinical practice and research for over a decade. As the Associate Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, I am deeply committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care to children and families navigating the complexities of IBD. I am actively involved in the education of residents, fellows, and other trainees in pediatric IBD care, and I serve as an investigator on several multi-center research collaborations and clinical trials aimed at addressing critical gaps in the field. I am currently leading the development of an Intestinal Ultrasound Program at my institution (Hasbro Children’s Hospital), which will provide advanced, non-invasive diagnostic tools to further enhance the care of children with IBD. Additionally, I am passionate about organizing community-based initiatives to raise awareness and support families affected by IBD. I am honored to serve on the New England Chapter Healthcare Professionals’ Engagement Committee, where I help shape research priorities and advance the mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.
