In 2023, South Carolina's preterm birth rate was higher than the national average. Compiling racial disparities, with chronic health conditions like hypertension and diabetes, there's a significant increase in the risk of preterm births. As a survivor of preterm birth, I am honored to assist in the push for families facing these immense challenges.
