About For Kids' Sake 2026

For Kids' Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana's annual peer-to-peer FUN-draising campaign. It is an easy way for individuals, groups, and companies to raise money to support our one-to-one mentorship matches. Individuals can be a fundraiser, host their own For Kids' Sake Bowl, or host another type of event (trivia and axe-throwing are two examples).

Some supporters choose to raise money via their For Kids' Sake page, Facebook, or door-to-door fundraising. Some people get a small group of friends together to go bowling. Affinity groups have hosted their own fundraising challenge, or if you are a company interested in doing a fundraising challenge for employee engagement, it is a great opportunity for team building — all for a great cause!

It takes a small amount of effort, yet it raises vital money for the success of our services. This is an easy way for you to make an impact on our community! 

PARTICIPATING IS EASY! JUST FOLLOW THESE STEPS:


  1. Register online to participate!  If you have problems registering, reach out to Lindsay Duncan at lindsay.duncan@bbbsky.org.

  1. Once you register, a fundraising page is created for you with built-in tools to fundraise via social media, email or text. If you're on Facebook, make sure to create a Facebook fundraiser from your page. All money raised on Facebook will be connected to your For Kids' Sake campaign!

  2. Maximize your impact with company matching gifts! Does your company offer donation matching? Not sure – check here: Double Donation | Support Youth Mentoring Now — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana. Imagine raising funds at work and having those gifts matched. Double the dollars, double the high-fives – your impact for our Littles would be HUGE… or should we say, BIG! ​

  3. Invite your friends, family, and coworkers to give towards your goal! If hosting an event, invite them to join the fun!

  1. Reach your goal and get ready to party! If you are bowling, set it up and bring your friends! Specific Bowling Alleys will have special deals during parts of the year. Reach out to us to get information. Make sure to contact the alley in advance and when you show them your registration email!  If you are participating with your company, check with your corporate team captain to see if you will be having a bowl. Are you participating as an individual? Celebrate by sharing your accomplishments on Facebook and tagging Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana!
