Event Day Schedule
10:45 a.m.-1:45 p.m.: Shuttle buses run
11 a.m.: Gates Open
11 a.m.: Amazing Sponsors, Rescue Groups, Raffles, Family Zone, Food and Tito's Canine Cantina open
11:20: FlyBall demonstration
11:45 a.m.: Adoption Parade
12:00 pm: K9 Handler demonstration 
12:30: FlyBall demonstration
1 p.m.: Take a mile long walk along the Keystone Trail
Come back and finish the day on the meadow
1:30 p.m.: Tito's Canine Cantina closes


The attendance fee is waived, but you can still register to raise donations for pets in need - the animals would LOVE that! And this year, we're shaking things up with a whole new incentive to give - The Golden Paw!.

You are the most important part of the Walk & Dog Fest! Each year, over a thousand people and hundreds of dogs enjoy a wonderful day in the NHS Meadow. 

While you're here, check out all of our sponsor booths, grab a bite and a drink, snag all the freebies you can, enter an incredible raffle, learn about responsible pet ownership and be a part of the betterment of animals in our community.

By supporting the Walk & Dog Fest, you are making a difference all year long. Thanks to donors like YOU, a lot was accomplished last year.

  • 8,273 animals were adopted into their forever home
  • 2,316 lost animals were reunited with their owners
  • 300 foster homes cared for 1,603 fragile animals
  • 8,391 diagnostic tests were performed
  • 7,223 spays/neuters were performed on adoptable pets
  • 747 specialized surgeries and dental procedures were performed
  • 6,153 animals were microchipped
  • 24,934 calls were responded to by NHS Animal Control
  • 4,422 children and adults attended NHS presentations/shelter tours
  • 426 youth participated in Camp Kindness
  • 599 people attended NHS dog training classes
  • 3,515 people and 6,197 pets were provided with emergency pet food by the NHS Pet Food Pantry
