The Front Range Winter Games, hosted by Special Olympics Colorado, is an annual event where athletes with intellectual disabilities compete in winter sports like alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Held at Eldora Mountain Resort, this event showcases the athletes' skills, resilience, and sportsmanship, with competitions and activities designed to celebrate their achievements. Volunteers play a key role in supporting the event, assisting with athlete check-in, guiding events, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for both athletes and spectators. The State Winter Games create an inclusive and empowering environment, emphasizing camaraderie, competition, and community spirit.
