The Western Winter Games, hosted by Special Olympics Colorado, is an annual event where athletes with intellectual disabilities compete in winter sports like snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Held at Argonaut Farms in Glenwood Springs, this event showcases the athletes' skills, resilience, and sportsmanship, with competitions and activities designed to celebrate their achievements. Volunteers play a key role in supporting the event, assisting with athlete check-in, guiding events, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for both athletes and spectators.
