31 For 31 For 31 supporting Boot Campaign

I have tried to devote my life to helping others, and I have done it through my running. One of my closest friends, a Navy SEAL, was one of 31 soldiers killed in Extortion 17 on 8/6/11, and last year I ran 31 miles a day, 31 days in a row in May, each day wearing a shirt with the name and face of one of those 31 men.
Most of the men that lost their lives in this tragic event, I never met. But over the years I have met many of their family members and loves ones who they left behind. I will never forget their names and will honor each of them in May during Military Appreciation Month.
My goal is to raise $31,000 for Boot Campaign - an organization who is supporting veterans that suffer from PTSD, depression, TBI, and other assorted mental and physical health issues after and/or during their military careers.
Consider making a pledge, a flat donation or join me by creating your own May event!
31 x 31 = 961 miles
$.10/mile = $96.10
$.25/mile = $240.25
$.50/mile = $489.50
$1.00/ mile = $961.00
