2025 5K9+ Run/Walk

Join South Wood County Humane Society for a morning of fun dedicated to providing assistance to our shelter pets! Our annual 5K9 Walk/Run will take place at Lake Wazeecha Shelter House (Red Sands) on Saturday, September 20th. This event features a 5K+ walk/run around Lake Wazeecha, bake sale, raffle baskets, merchandise, and more.

Help us make this day a success. After registering for the event, amplify your impact by sharing your individual link with friends and family and encourage them to help raise funds for shelter pets!

Incentives

The first 100 people to raise $100 will earn SWCHS merch.

​The overall top fundraiser will earn a $500 Walmart gift card.

​The overall second top fundraiser will earn a one-night stay at the Kalahari in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom living room suite.

​The overall third top fundraiser will earn a $100 Quality Feed & Seed Gift Card.

​All participants who preregister by September 4th will earn a Wag Bag with promotional items.

Friday, September 19:  4pm-7pm (optional) Pick up t-shirt and Wag Bag at Lake Wazeecha Red Sands Shelter House

Saturday, September 20:  8am-9am Pick up t-shirt and Wag Bag if registered in advance. On site registration will also be available.

Saturday, September 20:  9am Race starts!

*Pets and shelter alumni are welcome to join, but please bring proof of rabies vaccination and keep your dogs on a leash at all times.
