Race Against Racism 5k supporting YWCA Minneapolis

Elle is doing the TC Marathon to raise money for the YWCA's racial justice & women empowerment programs.
Thanks for visiting my YWCA Fundraising Page for the Twin Cities Marathon on October 3rd! This will be my FIRST marathon, and I'll be honest, I feel completely out of my league. I wanted to run 26 miles not only because I'm crazy, or to challenge myself mentally and physically, but most importantly to bring attention to a nonprofit that makes a difference in Minneapolis.
The YWCA of Minneapolis' mission is to eliminate racism and empower women, two causes our community desperately needs. It wasn't hard to pick the YWCA because they've always had such a strong presence in Minneapolis, and I knew I wanted to run this marathon that would go through my childhood backyard, directly supporting my neighbors around me.
So, I promised the Team at the YWCA that if I could raise them at least $1,000 for their racial justice programs, I would run this marathon in their name.
This marathon is extremely important to me not only because it's in my own childhood backyard, but because I'm doing it for a cause much greater than myself & directly impacts those in my neighborhood.
THANK YOU for your donation to this awesome organization!
