AAMA is a nonprofit organization in the East End of Houston with 3 different program areas!
One being the George I. Sanchez Charter School with 2 locations! Grades pre-kinder and 6th through 12th.
Adelante, where adults can obtain their HSE (GED), learn English and enroll in certificate programs.
Lastly but certainly not least, AAMA's Prevention and Counseling program for substance use and communicable diseases for both youth and adults. With locations in Houston, San Antonio and Laredo.

Here is a little about what I do with AAMA!
I have been with AAMA for a little over 2 years formally as the Development Assistant, and now as the Communications Coordinator. I am responsible for day-to-day communications on all platforms for the organization and help with special events. I also coordinate corporate service projects and run AAMA's Volunteer Program. I have worked with various groups including Starbucks, Comcast, and most recently Houston Dynamo for a shadowing program for our Sanchez Students.
