About Fresno Urban Run

Firefighters from the Hanford Fire Department and students from the Fresno City College (FCC) & College of the Sequoias (COS) Fire Academies will be running the Fresno Urban Run this year, on Sunday May 2nd, in their full turnouts and gear to benefit the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation and Champ Camp 2021! Donate to your team of choice and help these young men and women raise money for a great cause!

Starting inside of Chukchansi Park, they will be put to the challenge of climbing every step from the bottom to the top of the stadium, followed by a run up a 6-story circular garage and then down an adjacent 6-story circular garage, proceeded by a 1 mile run down Fulton Street to the Tuolumne Overpass (Urban Hill), before the final challenge, climbing 220 stairs to the top of a 10-story building, The Grand Tower, where the timing sensor will stop the clock! Overall length of the Urban Run is approx 3 Miles.  Participants are released to begin one at a time with 3 to 5 seconds between each runner.  First runner will be released at 8:00am.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Founded in 1971, the AARBF helps burn survivors and their families cope, heal and thrive while dealing with injuries that range from debilitating to severe all with dignity and grace.  Donations from this event benefit AARBF’s premiere event, Champ Camp, which is the largest event of it‘s kind in the United States, a week long summer camp for burn survivors ages 5-18, a safe place for kids to let go of the stigma of their scars and thrive as what they are, beautiful crazy kids.
