Alive at 65 with Cystic Fibrosis!

Jerry Cahill, BEF CF Ambassador, and Emily Schaller, a cystic fibrosis patient who started exercising in 2007 after being introduced to Jerry’s story, will participate in the 8th Annual Bike 2 Breathe event Jun. 21st - 27th 2021. This year, they will be cycling from Portsmouth, NH to Coney Island, NY.

“It is our hope that this ride will inspire people with CF to live an active life and reinforce that they can achieve whatever they put their mind to” said Jerry Cahill.

About the Boomer Esiason Foundation & Team Boomer

In 1993, former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason and wife, Cheryl, learned that their son was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF) - an incurable genetic disease that attacks the lungs. Never ones to back down from a fight, they founded the Boomer Esiason Foundation (BEF) and decided right then & there to fight for the CF community and for a cure.

Team Boomer is the athletic division of BEF that encourages people with cystic fibrosis to incorporate exercise into their everyday lives, provides athletes a way to raise money for CF, and offers an avenue for athletic events to contribute to our fight against CF.
