Julie's Groove Crew is participating in the Battle for the Brain to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's research!
"Julie's Groove Crew is dancing for a cause that holds a special place in their hearts. In 2017, Julie Blackwell Neal, a native Atlantan, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Since then, she has faced the disease with unwavering strength and positivity. Inspired by their mother’s love of helping her community, her daughters, Lyndsey and Natalie, began volunteering for Daughters Against Alzheimer’s in 2021 and have been dedicated helpers ever since. Julie's Groove Crew is made up of Lyndsey and Natalie’s closest friends, all coming together to celebrate Julie’s favorite pastime—dancing!
Julie enjoyed a successful 20-year career in interior design, with much of her time spent at ADAC, but her favorite job by far was being a mom. Today, she continues to share her infectious spirit by keeping the staff and residents at her nursing home entertained, always singing, dancing, and lighting up the room with her smile."
