I am a SURVIVOR! That’s why I feel blessed! I have had three experiences with cancer and have been a winner/survivor each time. That’s why I feel blessed.
I also feel that because of cancer, I have grown. I have learned. My life has been broadened by my experiences and connections at Michelle’s Place. Again, I feel blessed.
My cancer story began in 2013 with the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid cancer. Surgery was simpler than the follow-up treatment and resulting effects. Next, were two episodes of skin cancers. One simple, and the other more involved. Then, just when I was taking a breath, I felt a lump and was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. Hopefully, this last one is comparable to baseball... Strike 3, and YOU ARE OUT, CANCER!
Michelle’s Place was the place to grow and broaden my knowledge and friendships. Support groups, activities, and new friends became my new world. First, I was a client, now I am a volunteer. I get to meet and share with other clients the wealth of help and support that Michelle’s Place offers.
I have been BLESSED! I AM A SURVIVOR!
