I have always been a very active person both in my family life as well as in my community. Only after my wife forced me to slow down and have a routine checkup with my family doctor did I discover I had prostate cancer.
According to The American Cancer Society, about 1 in every 7 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. I never thought I would be that “one.” Only until I found myself seated in front of my Oncologist and hearing him say those life-changing words, “You have Prostate Cancer,” did the thought cross my mind.
EARLY DETECTION!!! It can save your life. It’s been nine years since my diagnosis! Thanks to the prayers and support from my wife, sons, family, friends, and doctor, as of today,
I Am Cancer Free!
Cancer changed my life, but I’m still here. My message to YOU, especially all the busy guys out there thinking they don’t have the time or it won’t be me, is to make the time to get that routine checkup. You may be the “one” to save your life.
