in Faith Without Discipline Does Not Heal Cancer

Beronica Mendoza

March 2025 marked my life forever. I was grieving the sudden loss of my wonderful husband of 26 years, the father of our 3 beautiful children. My body suffered from deep depression, then came the cancer diagnosis. Symptoms included swelling, irritation, and intense discomfort in my left breast, leading me to the ER.

After visiting my primary doctor and several medical studies, I was diagnosed with stage III invasive ductal carcinoma, estrogen receptor positive. The news was devastating. I kept asking myself, how could this be happening to me? Having just lost my husband, then lost our family business, and faced my health deterioration! My surgical oncologist advised immediate surgery because my cancer was metastasizing; my three tumors were now connected and invading my lymph nodes. After a year of surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation, I finally received the news that I was in remission.

I vowed to God that if I were cured of cancer, I would devote my life to supporting others and raising awareness. My mission is to show that overcoming cancer needs a dual approach: faith and discipline through mindset, nutrition, and community.
