In October 2023, my family and I were traveling to Disneyland for a long-awaited vacation when I suddenly became very ill. At first, I thought it was a virus or food poisoning, but my condition quickly worsened, leading to an emergency room visit. Although I recovered enough to continue the trip, I never truly felt the same afterward.
For nearly two years, I searched for answers. I saw numerous doctors, underwent extensive testing, and received conflicting diagnoses, including Hashimoto’s disease and possible lupus. Deep down, I knew something more was wrong.
Everything changed when I discovered symptoms in my right breast. After further testing, I was diagnosed on June 3, 2025, with Stage II breast cancer. While hearing the word “cancer” was terrifying, it also brought relief because I finally had answers.
My treatment included port placement, six rounds of chemotherapy, a lumpectomy, and twenty radiation treatments. The journey was difficult, but I persevered.
Today, I am grateful for the love and support of my family and friends who gave me strength, hope, and the courage to keep fighting. Their unwavering support made all the difference.
