The Benjamin Harrison YMCA has served the Greater Lawrence Township community for over 20 years. In 2018 we were able to offer over $468,000 of support to our community due to the generosity of our donors. 100% of the dollars raised goes directly to those in need in OUR community.

COVID-19 Update

The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is navigating unprecedented times in our organization's history, we are still here for our community and our members. 

During this time the Y has pivoted how we serve our community. Here is a snapshot of some of our impact: 

  • Hosting one of the eight sites with child care for medical personnel, first responders and other essential workers.
  • Maintaining our senior food program to the 32 individuals enrolled.
  • Providing 73 virtual classes or programs delivered by YOGI staff, with over 3,300 individuals interacting with these videos and 11,939 unique views in one video!
  • Organizing blood drives at YMCA locations addressing the critical blood shortage.
  • Enrolled 551 people in our “Social Fitnessing” challenge across the Association.
  • Making personal phone calls to almost 2,500 Benjamin Harrison YMCA members over the age of 60 ensuring they are cared for during this difficult time.
  • Volunteer YMCA chaplains are providing daily online devotionals helping build a healthy spirit in staff and members, with over 4,500 views.
