BMW Berlin Marathon 2025 supporting National Ovarian Cancer Coalition

I'm running the Berlin Marathon in honor of my mom and in support of the countless women and families affected by ovarian cancer each year.
Hi friends and family,
This September, I’ll be running the BMW Berlin Marathon with my brother, Teddy Trosset and my boyfriend, Quinn Tuff in honor of our incredible mom and in continued support of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition—a cause that means the world to me and my family.
As many of you know, my mom, Sally, bravely battled ovarian cancer for four years. Last summer, with our family by her side, she passed away peacefully. Even in her final days, she lived with unmatched grace, strength, humor, and purpose. She never let cancer define her, and she never gave death more power than it was due. Her resilience continues to inspire me every single day.
My mom was a lifelong runner and believed in the mental and emotional clarity running could bring. She passed that wisdom down to me and my siblings, encouraging us to run to clear our head or simply put us in a better mood. As I train for Berlin, I carry her with me— mile by mile.
Running this marathon is my way of honoring her legacy, keeping her memory alive, and fighting for the thousands of women and families affected by ovarian cancer each year. The NOCC provides critical resources, advocacy, and support to those navigating this disease, and I’m proud to continue running on their team.
Last year, it was the greatest honor to run the New York City Marathon with the NOCC by my side—and even more so because of the overwhelming generosity and support I received from so many of you. Your donations, messages, and encouragement carried me through every mile. I am endlessly grateful for everything you've given, not just in donation, but in love and support.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting this page, supporting this mission, and cheering me on. Your donations, kind words, and positive thoughts mean more to me (and to my family) than I can ever fully express.
Kate
