Children are brilliant. Children are resilient. Children are generous. The other week, my Little and I were making ornaments, a classic holiday craft, during her lunch period at school. Our instructions were to make a Christmas Tree using beads and pipe cleaners, but my Little went above and beyond. Not only did she make multiple ornaments for her brother and sister, but she also used her imagination to make new designs, including a rainbow heart for me that she knew I would love. It was awesome to see her creative mind at work and her thoughtful heart in action.
