How your support makes a difference

Since March 2020, when Covid-19 forced sudden school closures, BGCB made a commitment to fill the gaps in accessible youth care, food scarcity, and academic support by keeping our doors open for families in need.

Today, with out-of-school learning, food insecurity increases, and educational gaps widening, we are doing whatever it takes to ensure every child has equal access to resources, trusted mentors, and safe learning environments.

What we're doing

  • Providing safe, affordable all-day childcare for those who need us most since the onset of the crisis

  • Combatting food insecurity by distributing 52,000+ meals and snacks to the community-most-in-need to date.

  • Serving as remote learning centers for the Bellevue School District, providing extended hours and space for students to attend classes remotely at six of our Club locations
  • Reducing learning loss and social-emotional burdens for kids, by offering enriching in-person and virtual programs to help kids grapple with today’s challenges

  • Ensuring finances are never a barrier to helping our families by reducing program fees and distributing more scholarships than ever before

  • Safety remains our number one priority, we are closely monitoring reports from the CDC and our local health department for all updated information and protocols
  • BGCB is projected to lose over $2 Million in revenue between March 1-November 30, 2020 due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.

We foresee the challenges we faced in 2020 to remain in 2021 and continue to brace ourselves for a decrease in donations from corporations and small businesses that will be significantly impacted by the pandemic's economic realities.

Your donation ensures BGCB will have the resources necessary to help kids exceed beyond the circumstances that surround them and make great futures possible.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue’s mission is to inspire & enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Typically, BGCB’s 15 Clubhouses provide a safe and fun place for more than 13,000 youth to grow and thrive each year. During critical out-of-school hours, dedicated staff deliver life-enhancing, quality programs focused on academics, health, and leadership. BGCB is doing whatever it takes to ensure all kids in Bellevue have great futures.
