The Youth Mental Health First Aid USA training and manual describes protective factors that facilitate early intervention for any developing mental health issues. ALIVE programs are designed to address
12 of these important factors to include, good self-esteem, community bonding, encouragement of regular school attendance, increased academic performance, good problem-solving skills, and avoiding alcohol/drugs.
Our teens “Say it Best” when asked about the impact of their visits at the ALIVE Center:
"ALIVE has helped me with my problem-solving skills through meeting all the drop-in kids and learning their backgrounds and how to accommodate what they're going through while having fun. Also, leading a club in general takes a lot of responsibility and it is a lot of multitasking. We have a great staff here who help us and overall, I think problem solving doesn't feel like problem solving here. I think it's just fun and a great learning environment for us and the kids."

Since 2015, the ALIVE Center has provided programs and resources to help youth discover the gifts and passions that help them come ALIVE. To date, we have received over 61,000 youth visits to our locations in Naperville, Aurora, and Hanover Park.
Why Donate to the ALIVE Center? Afterschool programs like the Alive Teen Centers provides a safe space where youth can explore their potential. ALIVE promotes positive youth development and offers a safe and supportive environment that can make a significant impact on the future of our youth.
Your generosity will help area youth:
"Every $1 invested in afterschool programs saves at least $3 by increasing youth’s earning potential, improving their performance at school, and reducing crime and juvenile delinquency. These benefits collectively contribute to the overall development of the youth, preparing them for a successful and brighter future " – www.youth.gov
