Boot Campaign Board Member and avid runner, Mike Rouse, is pairing up with Retired U.S. Navy SEAL, Aaron Kendle to honor those 31 lives lost during Extortion 17 on August 8, 2011. Both Mike and Aaron lost friends that day and want to honor their memory while also raising funds in support of Boot Campaign's mission and the Veteran and military families that Boot Campaign serves.    

May 1 to May 31 Mike and Aaron will run 31km a day - thats almost 20 miles a day. 

​ABOUT MIKE ROUSE​
A 72-year-old Texan and endurance athlete who throughout his life has trained for long-distance races around the world. Mike lost a special friend in Extortion 17, Navy SEAL Petty Officer Jon. T. Tumilson and to honor his friend and the other 30 lives lost, Mike runs during Military Appreciation Month in support of Boot Campaign. Mike joined the Boot Campaign Board of Directors in 2020 and has dedicated his life to helping others and honoring those who serve(d). 

ABOUT RET. U.S. NAVY SEAL, AARON KENDLE 
Aaron served as a specialized medic, sniper, airborne leader, and jump school instructor. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business school, a father and a husband. He is a decorated member of the United States Navy, served as a member of SEAL Team 7, NSWG-1 Training Detachment, and Naval Special Warfare Development over a 15-year career and has dedicated his post-military professional career to helping his fellow brothers in arms transition back into civilian life.
