About Bound by Hoops 2026

Join the Fight Against Pediatric Cancer. Fund the Future. Hoop Like a Legend.

February 4, 2026 - World Cancer Day
Live at Madison Square Garden

Proudly presented by Band of Parents and the Garden of Dreams Foundation, Bound By Hoops is where game day meets giving back! This 90-minute charity basketball tournament will be played at Madison Square Garden on the Knicks' own court, bringing together fans, families, players, and former Knicks in the fight against neuroblastoma.

The 4-on-4 half-court tournament kicks off from 12:00–1:30 PM on the court at MSG. After the final buzzer, all players are invited to join us for a celebratory (optional) lunch. Later that evening, ticket holders return to MSG at 5 PM for exclusive VIP courtside access to watch the Knicks and Nuggets warm up, soaking in the energy just steps from the pros. The night culminates in Band of Parents’ private suite on the Hyundai Bridge, where guests will enjoy the game together with complimentary food and soft drinks—making it a full-circle experience of purpose, play, and community.

Whether you're rallying coworkers for a corporate team, gathering friends for a family squad, or stepping up as a sponsor, Bound By Hoops offers a powerful way to get in the game. Sign up to compete, support, or simply enjoy the thrill of being on the legendary Madison Square Garden court—where every dribble drives change. Spots are limited, so lace up, step onto the court and join the movement today.

Community, Competition & Purpose on the Court!

With more than a decade of success behind it, Bound By Hoops is inspired by the proven model of Band of Parents’ Play Like a Pro charity hockey game at Madison Square Garden.

In proud partnership with MSG and the New York Rangers, BOP’s Play Like a Pro has raised over $1.5 million for pediatric cancer research and the Garden of Dreams Foundation.

Now, Bound By Hoops aims to bring that same energy to the court—creating unforgettable moments and funding meaningful change for kids battling neuroblastoma.

Proceeds from this event will fund research and clinical trials for Band of Parents and also benefit Garden of Dreams Foundation.

For participants, the excitement is unmatched: the chance to step onto the legendary court at Madison Square Garden, where basketball dreams come alive and every shot echoes with purpose.

From the first tip-off to the final buzzer, Bound By Hoops transforms game day into a celebration of hope—making it a win for sponsors, families, and the future of pediatric cancer research.

How Your Support of BOP Makes a Difference

Together, we are bound by hope

  • Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children in the U.S.
  • Neuroblastoma, the most common solid tumor cancer in children, predominantly affects those under the age of six.
  • Every year, 700 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
  • Although cure rates have finally surpassed 50% at major medical centers like MSKCC, far too many children are still dying.

The Funding Gap

  • The National Cancer Institute allocates less than 8% of its annual budget for all childhood cancer research.
  • Private research dollars for neuroblastoma are limited; pharmaceutical companies do not see research efforts as profitable.

Who We Are

  • Band of Parents is a grassroots nonprofit led by families determined to fast-track a cure.
  • We fund innovative research and clinical trials focused on less toxic, targeted therapies.
  • We provide a support network for newly diagnosed families—offering hope, connection, and resources when they need it most.
  • Band of Parents is the top independent sponsor of neuroblastoma research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
  • Having committed over $17 million to research since it’s inception, BOP has helped change the clinical landscape for this devastating form of pediatric cancer.

Driving Breakthroughs in Neuroblastoma Research

  • Band of Parents is a major funder of the bivalent neuroblastoma vaccine at MSKCC, a groundbreaking treatment that has improved survival rates for hundreds of children.
  • We are the largest funder of the Hu3F8 phase 1 clinical trial—a neuroblastoma-specific antibody that received FDA approval in 2020

Thank you for your support!
