Brave Hearts connects families of children with congenital heart defects, provides resources to support their heart journeys and advocates through fundraising for future advancements in heart care at Norton Children’s Heart Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine.

Facing a heart disease diagnosis can be overwhelming. Brave Hearts reaches out to families while they are in the hospital to let them know that they are not alone and to provide support.

Giving Back

Brave Hearts families understand more than anyone how important it is to have advanced heart care close to home. That’s why we helped make the Jennifer Lawrence Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Norton Children’s Hospital possible with fundraising efforts through the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation. Brave Hearts currently is raising money to establish an endowed chair in honor of Erle H. Austin III, M.D., whose work at Norton Children’s Hospital and the University of Louisville has saved hundreds of children’s lives over the years.
