At the heart of this year's Brunching for Breakthroughs is the debut of the Young Entrepreneurs Market — a live marketplace where Breakthrough Scholars launch, showcase, and sell their own business ventures.
Backed by mentorship and a startup budget, students transform ideas into real-world products, gaining hands-on experience in:
- Product development
- Branding and marketing
- Budgeting and financial planning
- Customer engagement and sales
For guests and sponsors, the Market offers a front-row seat to the creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial spirit of Miami’s next generation of innovators.
An Experiential Learning Opportunity
The Young Entrepreneurs Market brings together Breakthrough Miami’s academic enrichment, leadership training, and entrepreneurship curriculum in one dynamic, real-world experience.
Each Scholar team receives:
- A $500 startup budget
- Guidance to develop a business plan and marketing strategy
- Ongoing support from a dedicated business mentor
Teams bring their ventures to life at the Market — testing ideas, refining skills, and gaining invaluable exposure to community leaders and professionals.

Your generous contribution to our Support-A-Scholar Fund makes our tuition-free program possible, advancing our mission as an Opportunity Generator. The cost of one full year of transformative Breakthrough programming for one Scholar is approximately $5,000, which includes expenses such as transportation, meals, supplies, Teaching Fellow and Success Coaches leading instruction, mentorship and advising, and the leadership of our outstanding educators on staff. Each year hundreds of supporters invest to support our incoming class of more than 260 rising 5th graders as they embark on their 8-year Scholar journey. Join us in making breakthroughs possible!
