Each year over 55 teams gather to walk for the hungry. Teams come from churches, schools, businesses and neighborhood groups. You can join a team or start your own very easily. Contact us with any questions. Click on the team registration button above to get started.
You can register as an individual or a family group. Bring some friends and enjoy a beautiful walk across Lakeshore Festival Park. Then listen to music and have fun at Polish Fest.
Fr. Mike Bertram, OFM, Capuchin is Capuchin Community Services' Ministry Director. Fr. Mike and the other friars serving at CCS are helping people struggling with poverty, hunger and homelessness. We partner with dozens of faith communities, businesses, schools and groups.
Last year we helped over 85,000 people receive food. Some visited the community's only 5 day per week food pantry at the House of Peace. Others ate at St. Ben's Community Meal. St. Ben's is often referred to as the longest running "pot-luck" dinner in Milwaukee. Guests can receive many other services at the ministry's two sites. Clothing, hygiene supplies, access to safe showers, free laundry services for people who are homeless and eyeglasses are just a few of the services offered.
