Dear friends, family, and supporters of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation,
The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is hosting its 54th Annual Gala on Monday, November 15th at Cipriani South Street. Funds raised from this event will support IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) research for cures and better treatments for the 1.5 million Americans who suffer from the disease, as well as provide resources for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
I am extremely proud, and you can only imagine how proud Tony would be, to let you know that our son, Dr. Thomas Ullman (Tommy) will be honored with the Rosenthal Humanitarian Award by the Foundation at this year’s gala. I hope you will join me to cheer Tommy on and let him know how grateful his patients and we are that he works so hard to make the world a better place for those suffering from IBD.
You may be aware that Tommy is the Chief of Gastroenterology and Professor of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. You may not be aware how dedicated and involved he is with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation where he serves on the National Scientific Advisory Committee and Chairs the Government and Industry Affairs Committee. His work and that of his friends and dedicated colleagues seeks to enhance the quality of care for IBD patients, educate colleagues, educate patients and families, advocate for increased research and legislation that will improve the lives of IBD patients throughout the United States and the world.
To celebrate its 54th anniversary, this year’s gala will be evoking the iconic spirit of Studio 54 with a night filled with glitz, glamour, disco beats and delicious food. The evening will feature a chef’s tasting from NYC’s top restaurants and musical performances by Broadway stars, as the Foundation honors heroes from the IBD community.
You can find more information about the event and how you can be a part of this special evening in person or otherwise at: www.ccf54thgala.org.
Thank you in advance for your support and contribution to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation through the purchasing of tickets, a journal ad, or a donation. I am most appreciative.
With my deepest gratitude,
