2022 Bank of America Chicago Marathon supporting Boomer Esiason Foundation

Running 26.2 so those with CF can breathe easy too!
Maddie Dunn
After such an incredible turnout for the 2021 NYC Marathon and on behalf of this amazing organization I am running the 2022 Chicago Marathon for the Boomer foundation in support of Cystic Fibrosis research on October 9th, 2022.
Running the NYC marathon in support of the Boomer Foundation was such a great experience I immediately jumped at the opportunity to be able to run again in my city, Chicago. A friend of mine from the University of Delaware Women’s Rowing team has cystic fibrosis and I have seen firsthand the effects the disease can have on a person. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic, progressive disease that attacks the lungs and digestive tracts and limits the ability to breathe over time. I am running for my friend to support her and to support research to help others in the future.
This race was no easy feat, but working hard to raise money and support such a great organization, when I was given the opportunity to join this team in my city I couldn't say no. Now I have to train and run 26.2 miles. The training and running motivation will come mostly from my late Uncle Terry who has run countless races himself, he will be with me on every step of the race.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal to aid research and end Cystic Fibrosis and also please send encouraging words because 26.2 miles is a long distance and I’m going to need all the help I can get!
