Evangelical Community Hospital will be holding its annual Cookin’ Men event, where chefs turn up the heat on breast cancer awareness by creating culinary delights for people to enjoy while raising funds to support The Thyra M. Humphreys Center for Breast Health. Joining the fun are some “Cookin’ Women” who will bring their own special offerings to the 2022 event. In total 21 chefs or chef teams will be vying for favorite dish and the Top Chef honor.
The event will be held 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in the event space of Rusty Rail Brewing Company in Mifflinburg.
New to this year's event, attendees can opt for a VIP experience, by purchasing tickets for the Hospitality VIP Reception, to be held from 5:30 to 6:30 and 8 to 9:30 p.m. in the Rusty Rail Brewing Company Game Room. The VIP Experience will include a pairing menu prepared by Rusty Rail Executive Chef. Tickets are limited.
Tickets can be purchased beginning Friday, Sept. 30. Tickets will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be available at the door. Physical tickets will be mailed once they’ve been purchased. Tickets are limited.
Every October Evangelical Community Hospital celebrates National Breast Cancer Awareness month with Cookin' Men. This event is widely anticipated each year by sponsors, participating chefs, and many members of the community. Unfortunately, an in-person event is not possible this year due to the pandemic. We are still focused on raising funds to support patients of the Thyra M. Humphreys Center for Breast Health and welcome you to the 2020 Cookin' Men Online Chef Challenge! All funds raised will be used to provide diagnostic and screening mammograms and ultrasounds for uninsured and underinsured patients.
Thank you for joining us. We appreciate your support!

Vote for your favorite chef to help them win the honorary title of "Top Chef." The Cookin' Men chef(s) who raise the most in donations for Evangelical's Center for Breast Health will be named "Top Chef" and receive the coveted Pink Whisk Award.
Last year, Eric John & Paul John, Jr. were named "Top Chef" for raising $7,400 for Evangelical's Center for Breast Health!
Each year at the event, one chef is awarded the "Favorite Dish Award". Guests at the event vote for their favorite dish of the evening once they have sampled all the dishes they desire to.
