Let's kick Cancer to the curb!

We all know someone who's been affected by cancer, and probably more than one person. Despite scientific progress, too many people are losing their battles. Let's keep fighting to end this disease in all of its forms!

In 1988, a small group of friends created the OCSO as a way to positively channel their sadness and frustration over the loss of loved ones. We raise funds to aid cancer research, help those fighting cancer and provide child cancer support. Generous sponsors, donors,  race participants, and people like you have raised over $1,000,000 for this cause. Here are the specific causes we donate to:

Knight Cancer Institute:  Researching causes and cures for cancer
Providence Hospice:  Providing compassionate home care and family support for terminally ill patients
Providence Hospice of the Gorge:  Providing compassionate home care and family support for terminally ill patients
Candlelighters:  Support programs for children with cancer and their families
Breast FriendsEnsuring that no woman goes through cancer alone.  Providing resources for women, their families, friends, co-workers and community, minimizing the fear and isolation of cancer
Camp Erin:  Providing children and teens who have experienced the death of someone close to them a traditional camp combined with grief education and emotional support

The Oregon Cancer Ski Out is a non-profit organization and classified as tax-exempt under section 501(c)3 of the IRS code. Our tax ID number is 93-1284874 and contributions made to this event are tax-deductible.

Thank you for your thoughtful consideration in supporting cancer research, hospice programs, childhood cancer support and grieving families through the Oregon Cancer Ski Out.
