Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation supports childhood cancer research programs across Canada

There is no reason why we can't help make a difference. #beyondkidscancer
Why I raise funds for the Coast to Coast Against Kids Cancer:
In Canada there are 10,000 children living with cancer and its long-term effects.
In Canada approximately 1,500 children are diagnosed with cancer every year.
In Canada 1 in 5 of them won't survive.
Our Challenge:
On Friday, August 16th, my son, Eric and I will make our second attempt to complete a multi-day cycling odyssey through Ontario's stunning Algoma and Canadian Shield country. We will mountain bike through highly technical and challenging ATV trails, logging roads, river crossings, long gravel climbs and descents and many kilometers of single-track during the 2019 Crank the Shield Event. Eric and I have committed to pedaling over 220km of rugged terrain in Northern Ontario over a 3 day span. For the third year in a row, what better way to motivate each pedal stroke then to raise awareness and funds for the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation. The Coast to Coast vision is a world Beyond Kids Cancer. As Canada's leading national charity devoted to fighting childhood cancer, this organization ensures 100% of receipted donations are invested in improving the survival rate and quality of life of children and their families impacted by cancer. Please help us in our pursuit to make a difference in the lives of these children who are affected with this horrible disease as we pedal to meet our fundraising goal of $5,000.
