It's notable that Dr. Waters is not only a seasoned emergency medicine practitioner but also has a diverse set of experiences, with his wife, Dr. JoAnn Yanez, being a naturopathic physician and the Executive Director of an international non-profit organization. Their shared interests in salsa dancing, hiking, and traveling indicate a well-rounded and fulfilling life outside of their professional endeavors.

Family is clearly important to Dr. Waters, as he and Dr. Yanez have a wonderful 11-year-old son attending Phoenix Country Day School, and they also have a daughter and son-in-law in Washington, DC.
