For five days from June 8 to June 12, each evening on this De La Salle page, we will broadcast a program that will make you laugh, cry, and celebrate what our teachers, staff, students, and alumni do. This will be a time to challenge your class and your colleagues to step forward and help less fortunate families bridge the financial gap so that their children have the opportunity to receive an enriching Lasallian education.

The weight of this global pandemic has spared no industry or educational institution, including De La Salle Collegiate. We anticipate that the associated economic crisis will have an impact on many of our families. Early forecasts by the Archdiocese of Detroit predict that 20 percent of current students receiving financial aid will need more, and some students not currently receiving financial aid will require it in the 2020-21 academic year.
With so many needing assistance, we hope you will consider making a gift to our Bridge the Gap campaign. We recognize that not everyone is in a position to give at this time. However, if you are able to join us please know that 100 percent of your gift will directly benefit those students.
Through the CARES Act, the federal government has modified the tax code to increase the deductibility of charitable contributions for this year. Individuals that do not itemize can deduct $300 of contributions in addition to their standard deduction. And large donors and companies will no longer have a limitation on the amount of donations that are deductible.
Supporting the best quality Lasallian education for Detroit area students is more important than ever. Your contribution will have an immediate impact on teaching and learning and help us continue to provide the powerful and enriching experiences that transform the lives of De La Salle Collegiate students every year. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to De La Salle today!
