The Huntington Society of Canada (HSC) strives for a better future for those affected by Huntington disease (HD). There are three main areas that HSC focuses on:
1. Funding cutting edge research into slowing or stopping the progression of HD
2. Funding Family Services workers across Canada to provide support for those affected by HD
3. Raising awareness of HD, educating the public and health services professionals, as well as advocating for the rights of those affected by HD
Want to host a small event in support of HSC?
Use the DIY Fundraiser page to set up small events in support of HSC. This is a great way to easily set up a registration process for any small events you want to host throughout the year! When you set up an event on this page and publish it, it will show up in the event calendar listed under "What's Happening". Search through the event calendar to see if there are any other events you'd like to participate in!
Here's how!
1. Register to create your own fundraising page
2. You can choose to raise pledges or create an event by clicking the "Host Your Own Event" tab when you are in edit mode for your fundraising page
3. Select what type of event you're planning to host, the event name, date, and description for your event
4. Select whether you'd like people to register online for your event and if you'd like to ask for a donation when registering
5. Click save and your event will be completed!
6. To make sure your event shows up in the event calendar, click "Publish Your Event" and it will be visible to everyone
7. Share your event page and get people registering
Event Ideas:
All donations and contributions made to our event before September 30 are still matched by an anonymous donor dollar for dollar!
All proceeds raised through this event will go to support Family Services and Research to delay or stop Huntington disease.
