2025 Almost Home emPOWER Campaign

Together we are empowering young moms in our community, ending the cycle of poverty two generations at a time!

Almost Home is a local comprehensive program for young mothers and their children that works to end the cycle of poverty two generations at a time.  Almost Home empowers young moms to transform their lives and provides them with a supportive and safe living environment and the resources to do so.  Families at Almost Home receive assistance with food, clothing, baby supplies and childcare resources, access to counselors, support groups,  a doula and family medicine nurse practitioner, social workers and job opportunities, assistance with finishing high school degrees or obtaining certificates, and guidance on parenting skills, cooking skills and basic job skills through their communal living environment.

As a pediatrician down the street and Board member for over 4 years, I have had the pleasure of witnessing firsthand the amazing positive impact of Almost Home. I have met new young mothers in the newborn nursery overwhelmed, alone and scared, and after establishing with Almost Home watched them transform into confident and wonderful mothers to thriving infants.  Please join me in empowering young moms to better their lives and the lives of their young children by donating to Almost Home.

All donations made to Almost Home before the end of the event will be matched 2X. A donation of $100 or more provides maternity tax credit equal to 70% of your gift for eligible individuals and businesses in the State of Missouri.
