Intimate Partner Violence: Considerations During COVID

About Intimate Partner Violence: Considerations During COVID

  • Please join us for a free Domestic Violence Awareness Month conversation

    The issue:

Those impacted by intimate partner violence have many shared experiences but one’s race and economic status can radically shift what supportive options are reliably available.

During this period of COVID-19, where Black and Brown neighbors shoulder a bigger impact due to structural racism, the options available to these individuals when they experience intimate partner violence are even more limited.

We'll discuss the racism at the heart of this pandemic and how the traditional responses to intimate partner violence, which often fail women of color, require new and more effective strategies that expand access to support and safety.
