Epilepsy Ducks! supporting Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA

This is a fun way to work together to continue to support our vital programs and services!
One in 26 people will develop epilepsy in their lifetime, and one in 10 will have a seizure. Please join us in supporting the ones that we know and love who have epilepsy/seizure disorder.
The Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA receives 30 - 50% of our operating budget from contributions and special events. We need your help to continue to be a voice for epilepsy awareness and education. All of the proceeds raised at this event will stay here to support local programs and supportive services.
These rubber ducks are making a splash to help raise funds and awareness for epilepsy! You can harness this flock of squeaky bird friends to inspire the people you know to donate in support of local epilepsy programs and services, all while having a ridiculous amount of fun!
Step 1: Register for Your Own Lucky Duck Party
Register on this site to create a donation page, which you will use to track your donors.
Once you have registered take a few minutes to personalize your webpage: include your Duck sponsorship level, pictures, and story of why epilepsy programs and services are important to you.
Step 2: Decide on a Prize
You are responsible for providing a prize for your winner and you should pick something that you think would motivate your potential donors. For example, you could offer a service like lawn mowing, a car wash, pet walking, etc. You could make dinner for the winner's family or deliver homemade baked goods to their doorstep. Be creative and use your talents and resources!
Step 3: Recruit Donors to Sponsor Each Duck
Set the price for each duck - it should be at least $5 per duck, but you can set the amount higher if you choose. Tell your friends and family about your fundraiser through social media, email, phone calls, and more! Share the link to your donation page, and as people begin to sponsor ducks, track their support and their duck number on your Duck List.
Step 4: Schedule Your Lucky Duck Party
Now for the fun part! When you have finished selling your ducks and are ready for your Lucky Duck Party, contact Colleen at cfulkerson@eawcp.org. Once you have sent us your Duck List, we will work with you to pick the perfect Lucky Duck Party date. Our goal is to randomly select the winning duck in a different way for each Lucky Duck Party - it might involve a swimming pool, a cat on a table, a flying lesson, etc! We will record the selection and announce the winner's first name on a video that you can share with your donors and we can share on our social media platforms.
