POSTPONED UNTIL FALL 2020
Did you know that over 110,000 people in eastern Pennsylvania are living with epilepsy? Did you know that epilepsy is the fourth most common neurological disorder? In fact, epilepsy affects 1 in 26 people.
Despite these staggering numbers, epilepsy remains a disorder that is largely misunderstood, discriminated against, and underfunded in research initiatives.
We're ready to do something about it - are you? The fight to END EPILEPSY starts here, and it starts with us.
Join us for the Walk to END EPILEPSY – NEPA at PNC Field in Moosic, PA. The Walk to END EPILEPSY – Pennsylvania Series exists to bring together and celebrate our local epilepsy community, to raise funds and awareness, and to unite around our shared commitment to finding a cure.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those battling epilepsy. Together, we can unite with Epilepsy Warriors from across our region to Walk to END EPILEPSY. Together, we can raise critical funds and awareness to shine a light on epilepsy and bring it out of the shadows. You matter in this fight, and together we are stronger.
Help us turn PNC Field purple in honor of the 1 in 26. This year, we invite you to form a team, walk as an individual, sponsor a walker, or become a corporate sponsor!
The Walk to END EPILEPSY – NEPA will take place RAIN or SHINE at PNC Field in Moosic, PA. Registration will open at 9 am and the Walk Kick-Off will be at 10 am. Visit the Event Info page for more details.
By participating in the Walk to END EPILEPSY – Pennsylvania Series you are not only uniting with people across the nation, but also igniting a spark right in your own backyard.
The Walks are non-competitive, family friendly and open to the public. They are designed to be a fun day of celebration all while raising critical funds and awareness for the EFEPA and our local epilepsy community. Each Walk is complete with music, food, entertainment, networking, giveaways and prizes.
The Walk to END EPILEPSY events are free to register with fundraising strongly encouraged. As always, all proceeds will immediately go towards the continuation and expansion of the free programs, resources and support services provided right here in Northeast PA.
We walk to build community so that no one feels alone in their diagnosis. We walk so kids can attend Camp Achieve. We walk to raise awareness and build supportive, seizure-safe communities. We Walk to END EPILEPSY.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by epilepsy. Will you join us?
