Fete 2019 For the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation New England Chapter

This year I'm Co-Chairing the Fete to raise funds to impact the 3 million Americans living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
On Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 6:30pm, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation New England Chapter is hosting our largest annual event, the Fete of Food & Wine, at the Museum of Fine Arts. Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are inflammatory bowel diseases that have stricken over 3.1 million Americans including three generations of my family as well as myself.
My personal journey with ulcerative colitis began when I was 13 years old and entering the 6th grade. I started to display symptoms of the disease, pain and bleeding, and lived with these symptoms on and off for the next 17 years. It was not until the age of 30, while engaged and planning my wedding, that I was given the diagnosis of ulcerative colitis and started life changing treatment. While I have had a fairly stable road, many people living with these diseases have not.
This year, I am co- chairing the Fete. I must admit that it is a massive undertaking, but I am driven to try and help others who are afflicted and hope to help find cures.
I’d like to invite you to support our efforts and join us for an unforgettable night on Saturday, November 2. Enjoy cocktails in the museum galleries and a unique dinner experience in the Shapiro Family Courtyard. Following the awards program, there will be a live auction, dancing, and dessert as we are entertained by world renowned DJ, Brek One- so bring your dancing shoes!
Last year, we raised $1.175 million for cures and better treatments for these diseases. This year, our goal is to raise $1.2 million. Personally, my goal was to raise $150,000 with the support of friends and corporate donations. Given the incredible generosity of so many I am now trying to get to $200,000
I respectfully ask you to consider either buying tickets to the event or make a donation to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Donating is easy- Click here to see the donation levels on the website.
