The fight against cancer goes on.

There is no one I know who can say they DO NOT have a friend or relative who has battled this terrible illness. Within my circle of family at least 10 people lost their lives to cancer. This year, we have found a way we can fight this disease, by donating to The Cross Cancer Institute through the Alberta Cancer Foundation. On September 19 2020, we will be lacing up our sneakers with at least 30 other family members on a (21K) virtual run / walk. We are taking on this challenge in honor of my beloved mother, Gurmeet Randhawa who was first diagnosed in 1997. She was a warrior – she never gave up; battled through it and went on remission like a champ. Unfortunately, at the end of 2018 the cancer returned and she endured extensive treatments and fought this fatal illness for over 1.5 years but sadly she succumbed to kidney cancer on May 19 2020. We will also be dedicating this advocacy to all those we know who have cancer right now or have lost the battle. The Alberta Cancer Foundation raises a substantial amount of dollars each year in supporting Albertans against cancer.
