Fight Against Cancer supporting Alberta Cancer Foundation

In honour of our loving Grandmother.
We have made the easy decision to raise funds in support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
We lost our grandmother, Gurmeet Kaur Randhawa, to kidney cancer on May 19, 2020. She had the kindest, most selfless and genuine soul. She raised us from the moment we were born up until we had grown up. A month after I (Priya) was born in 1997 and Jasjit was 4 years old, our grandma underwent her first treatment for kidney cancer. She fought hard and was in remission for the majority of our lives. This past year and a half was the hardest of not only her life, but ours as well. Nonetheless, she made sure to make the most of every moment and had not once showed how much she may have been struggling. If you had met our grandma in this past year, you would've never known that she was battling cancer because she always had a smile on her face and strength in her heart.
On September 19 2020, the day after her birthday, our friends and family, are participating in a 21 km walk/run in support to all those who have been affected by this disease. Grandma would have been so proud to know that her family and friends are contributing to such an important cause.
We chose to contribute to the Cross Cancer Institute through the Alberta Cancer Foundation because she always spoke about how well they took care of her and would've been so happy to know that this is the institution that we are raising awareness through.
Let's achieve our total goal of $50,000 together! https://p2p.onecause.com/fight-against-cancer
Thank you for making life better for Albertans and their families facing cancer.
