ABOUT FAKE IT TO MAKE IT

Since 2016, Fake It to Make It (FITMI) has been SafeHomes’ signature event, and raised more than $1.4 Million for its mission of transforming victims of domestic violence into survivors.  The show has sold out nearly every year and in 2019 and 2024, was even voted Best Fundraising Event by readers of Augusta Magazine.  Seven teams of 5 compete to take home a prized championship belt for the title of Top Fundraiser, Peoples Choice and Judges Choice.  

ABOUT SAFEHOMES

SafeHomes, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization based in Augusta, GA.  For more than 35 years, it has remained the only domestic violence program for the 10-county East Central Georgia region of Burke, Columbia, Glascock, Jefferson, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Taliaferro, Warren and Wilkes counties.  SafeHomes, Inc. provides emergency shelter, legal advocacy, counselling, support groups, job training and many more specialized services to transform victims of domestic violence into survivors and be the catalyst to bring about the end of domestic violence in our community.

Since 2016, Fake It to Make It (FITMI) has been SafeHomes’ signature fundraising event, raising over $1.4 million to support our mission of transforming victims of domestic violence into survivors. Nearly every year, the show has sold out—and in 2019, it was even voted Best Fundraising Event by readers of Augusta Magazine.

This high-energy, fan-favorite lip sync competition returns in 2026 with teams battling it out for the ultimate bragging rights and the coveted championship belts in the categories of Top Fundraiser, People’s Choice, and Judges’ Choice.

🎉3 Ways to Support the Show!

1. Sponsor a Team
Put your business or organization front and center by sponsoring your favorite team. Sponsorships help underwrite the event and directly impact SafeHomes’ programs and services.

2. Donate in a Team’s Name
Every donation counts—and those who give $50 or more will be automatically entered into two raffles (see below!). The more you give, the more chances you have to win.

3. Buy Tickets in a Team’s Name
Tickets go on sale at the Columbia County Performing Arts Center Box Office starting October 24, 2025. Be sure to credit your favorite team at checkout!

How It Works:

  • No physical tickets provided.

  • Every $50 donation = 1 entry into each drawing.

  • Donate $100? That’s 2 entries. $250? That’s 5 entries. Enter as many times as you’d like!

  • Sponsorships do not count toward raffle entries. For example, a $1,000 donation gets you 20 entries. A $1,000 sponsorship gives you perks but no raffle entries.

  • Attendance at FITMI is not required to win.

  • Winners must be 18+

  • Current SafeHomes employees and board members are not eligible.
