For Kids' Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana's annual peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. It is an easy way for individuals, groups, and companies to raise money to support our one-to-one mentorship matches. Individuals can be a fundraiser, host their own For Kids' Sake Bowl, or host another type of event (trivia and ax throwing are two examples).

In the past, some people choose to only raise money via For Kids' Sake page, Facebook, and door-to-door fundraising. Some people get a small group of friends to bowl at select bowling alleys. Affinity groups have hosted their own fundraising challenge, or if you are a company interested in doing a fundraising challenge (bowl or not bowl) it is a great opportunity for team building, all for a great cause!

It only takes a small amount of effort, yet it raises vital money for the success of our programs. This is an easy way for you to make an impact on our community!

PARTICIPATING IS EASY! JUST FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

Register online to participate!  If you have problems registering, reach out to Michael Kolodziej at michael.kolodziej@bbbsky.org

Once you register, a fundraising page is created for you with built-in tools to fundraise via social media, email or text. If you're on Facebook, make sure to create a Facebook fundraiser from your page. All money raised on Facebook will be connected to your For Kids' Sake campaign!

Decide your style! Do you just want to raise money to support the agency? Do you want to raise money and organize your own event? Like last year, we will have special deals with select bowling alleys so you, family, and friends can play at a reduced rate (look for how to bowl at the top of this page).

Invite your friends, family, and coworkers to give towards your goal! If hosting an event, invite them to join the fun!

Reach your goal and get ready to party! If you are bowling, set it up and bring your friends! Specific Bowling Alleys will be have special deals during parts of the year. Reach out to us to get information. Make sure to contact the alley in advance and show them your registration email!  If you are participating with your company, check with your corporate team captain to see if you will be having a bowl. Are you participating as an individual? Celebrate by sharing your accomplishments on Facebook and tagging Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana!
