For Kids' Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters’ signature fundraiser and every year hundreds of people across Kentuckiana come together to have fun and raise money with their friends to fund our one-to-one Big - Little mentoring match friendships.
It only takes a small amount of effort, yet it raises vital money for the success of our programs. This is an easy way for you to make an impact on our community!
How is this year different? We’re glad you asked! We are excited to be broadening our For Kids' Sake (FKS) repertoire, but we need your help! When you register, you can choose between hosting a FKS Fundraiser or a For Kids Sake Bowl event. Fundraisers can be carried out through our platform, on Facebook, or through good ol’ door-to-door fundraising!
Register to participate! If you have problems registering, reach out to Allison Hackman at firstname.lastname@example.org and she’ll be happy to help.
Once you register, a fundraising page is created for you with built-in tools to fundraise via social media, email or text. Before you know it, you will be a fundraising rock star!
Decide your style! Choose to organize an event for your crew (we have a how-to for bowling) or use tools to create your own unique fundraiser to start raising funds!
Invite your friends, family, coworkers, girlfriends, boyfriends, partners, cousins, neighbors, brothers, sisters to give towards your goal! If bowling, invite them to be on your squad!
Reach your goal and get ready to party! If you are bowling, set it up and bring your friends! Specific Bowling Alleys will be ready for you anytime from February 1st to March 31st when you show them your registration email! If you are participating with your company, check with your corporate team captain to see if you will be having a bowl. Are you participating as an individual? Celebrate by sharing your accomplishments on Facebook and tagging Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana! We want to share in your success.
Create as many 6-person teams as you wish. You can even set up a friendly fundraising competition between your employee teams as well as the collective fundraising of all your employees.
Big Brothers Big Sisters depends on donations to conduct background checks on volunteers to ensure child safety and to provide ongoing support for children, families and volunteers to build and sustain long-lasting relationships. Your role in this effort to help local youth cannot be overstated: We need your help to raise community awareness of the challenges faced by local children and to raise funds to help change the trajectory of a child’s life.
