Hi, all! I have decided to run the (virtual) Naperville half marathon this year. Crazy...lol...maybe, yes. But, this is for a great cause. Gigi's Playhouse is a non-for-profit organization that supports friends and families of individuals blessed with Down syndrome. Though we do not have as much opportunity as we would like to attending events at Gigi's, just knowing there is a group of friends who are a support group gives us hope and reassurance when we encounter uncharted territory.
Plus, Julie would be running with us if she had the opportunity to do so. She is Aaron's Godmother, and she enjoyed running half marathons. Or rather, she enjoyed the fact that she ran it. Nonetheless, I run in memory of Julie and in support of Aaron, friends, and Gigi's Playhouse.
My brother-in-law, Justin, has joined our team. My other dear friends, Jen and Christina, have also joined Team Gigi's.
